Thread Summaries

For long email threads, Sipher AI can generate a concise summary so you can catch up without reading every message.

How to summarise a thread

  1. Open any thread with multiple messages.
  2. Click the Summarise button (sparkle icon) in the thread header, or use the ⋯ → Summarise thread menu item.
  3. A summary panel slides in below the thread header with bullet points covering key decisions, action items, and participants.

What's included in a summary

  • Key decisions made in the thread
  • Action items and who they're assigned to
  • Important dates and deadlines mentioned
  • Overall status and next steps

Attachment analysis

For threads with PDF or document attachments, the summary can include a brief overview of attachment content. This is processed entirely on SipherMail's servers.

Privacy

Thread content is processed on a model we host ourselves in the EU (Finland). It is not sent to a third-party AI provider. A summary may be cached for up to 1 hour. An attachment insight is kept in your account until you delete that message or the account.
